"Blue bee" is an intuitive abstract work, realized in an expressionist way, with acrylic on linen canvas, only with knives and spatulas giving accentuated effects of matter and superposition.
First named "one on top of the other", referring to the fact that the paint is applied with a knife in one go, touch after touch, without going back on it, thus making emerge, layer by layer, "pieces of colors" piled up, contrasting each other, for a disorganized and colored geometrical composition.
I finally decided to name the work "Blue bee" because, in this abstract creation, it finally appeared to me very clearly the stylized representation of a bee.
A layer of epoxy resin is applied to the canvas to give it a high gloss effect.
