    Description

India’s textile heritage has its roots in Khadi. It was first made by Mahatma Gandhi by spinning cotton yarn on a wheel called ‘charkha’. It was called the ‘revolutionary fabric’ as it taught India to be self reliant and independent!
As a tribute to my homeland India, I present to you the “Khadi Collection”

Note: The painting is stretched on a wooden frame. The painting can be mounted both vertically and horizontally.

    Concept

I’m Aatmica. I started painting from an early age of 6. I expressed my interest in art by making greeting cards. I like to explore with techniques. For instance, I do dripping, palate knife, hand smudging, cone work, thread work, paper work, collages, cut work, appliqué work, embroidery etc. Similarly I explore with styles too ! For instance, I paint abstract, figurative, symbolism, landscapes, ancient primitive, historic, religious etc. I get my inspiration from various sources : looking around, past events, human emotions, etc.
