Description

This work is painted by opaque watercolor gouache and is applied a few times in thin layers. I am very interested in the color changing as the layers of paint are stacked. I try to draw as light and vivid colors as possible. This work "Out of the Hole" was opened in my second solo exhibition . It marks the beginning of the narrative of the two women who escaped through a hole into the artist's ideal world, the "free world". The "free world" is made up of sweet sugar crystals, which melt slippery in the hot sun, and can leave to the world of another level world through holes formed by melting sugar anywhere.

Concept

Do you hope that another world exists? I think hanging a picture at home is a heart that makes a hole to escape ideal world. I paint without clogging and freely as my heart goes. My work runs toward freedom, and the completed free world is framed and hangs in your house. When you feel frustrated, step into the frame and you will move to your free world.

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
