    Concept

Takahashi Maho's work is a symbolic image of a young girl of the times. Since the beginning of human history, natural objects have long been the subject of people's creations, but those born after the 1980s grew up in an environment with the Internet, and anime, manga, and video games have also been motifs of their creations. She belongs to a generation of digital natives, so to speak, and has been influenced by many of them. The characters in the content that Takahashi Maho is familiar with are depicted as heroes and heroines, and are the objects of admiration, as well as strong and beautiful. However, the image of the girl she portrays is not the familiar image of the so-called otaku-like Japanese culture. They are simple and innocent, without decoration. This can be attributed to her study of design, but it can also be attributed to her attachment to her childhood. The origin of Takahashi Maho's work is her past experiences and experiences. The "that child" in her works is used as a visualization of childhood, when important personalities are formed. Personality is considered to be formed through change and development in the interaction of heredity and environment, with the exception of external factors such as accidents and illness. All memories and experiences are important axes and supports in the development of a person. Now that they have become adults, in the midst of social absurdity, the existence of "that child" is a sanctuary to protect oneself in life, and her appearance, which is also different from the heroine image, can be a symbol of diversity. The works are mainly made of "foil," a Japanese tradition, which is an idol of the past that is glorious and will never fade away. Gold, which began to be used around 3,000 B.C., is a metaphor of universal value that has fascinated people for a wide range of reasons. Childhood memories and experiences are enduring, important, and connected to the present. These memories and experiences are expressed in gold. It is used as a tool to recreate a contemporary expression, while at the same time feeling the nostalgia that comes from nostalgia. In recent years, the issue of diversity has been raised. It is difficult to change in a few years what has been engraved in our DNA along with our history, but she believes that a world where we can recognize each other is not far away. The modern girl figure that she creates is a symbol of the desire for peace and equality that has come out of an era of abundance.
