    Description

Kent paper is stretched over water on wooden panels and painted with acrylic paints and colored pencils. The work also incorporates silkscreening and other techniques to create a variety of textures. I used techniques such as applying paint over the unevenness of the silkscreened paint to create depth in the painting. The concept of the work is based on the theme of dreams. A dream that I have when the sky is getting lighter and lighter. A fluffy sensation of dream and reality mixed together, whether in a dream or in reality. The dream you have before waking up in the morning often gives you such a feeling. This work depicts such a feeling.

  • About this artist

    Concept

Born in Osaka Prefecture. When he was 6 years old, he lived in Germany for a year and became interested in religious paintings he saw in churches and museums. He entered the art department of a crafts high school with the desire to study Western-style painting when he entered high school. Influenced by religious paintings as well as the teachings of Buddhism and Shintoism in Japan, where he lives, he often wonders what life is, and painting on the theme of "life" has led him to his current style of painting. For this reason, he often uses people, creatures, and plants as motifs, and women as symbols of life-giving. And by using many streams of paint and colors, he expresses the connection with living creatures and plants, and the flow of time from birth to death. She has also been influenced by street culture such as graffiti, having been hooked on skateboarding since she was 14 years old. He uses a variety of painting materials including acrylic paint, spray paint, and pens such as Posca. He has created murals in Japan and abroad, including the "POW!WOW!JAPAN" and "POW!WOW!HAWAII" mural events. We have provided artwork for violinist NAOTO, Incognito CD jackets, Brooklyn Brewery (Kirin Beer), Nakayama Racecourse merchandise, and various other fields. In addition, he also does interior and exterior murals for stores, live painting, and exhibits his works in Japan and abroad.
