The girl escapes from the brothel, wanders into the bamboo thicket looking for a place to die, and plays her flute at a loss. Then, her grandfather's cat, whom she loved as a child, hears the sound and comes down from heaven. The woman does not go to paradise with the cat. She says goodbye, stands on the ground, and lives to the death again. The "Emaki" series depicts people who are considered to be of low social status and position. The cat looks at me and our lives with a sideways glance.
