Description

A tribute to an emblematic figure of Pop culture: the Statue of Liberty! Here, SeCaM revisits the lady in street/pop art mode. The colors, shades of green/blue, seem cold, but the jets of yellow, pink and white paint bring the painting to life. The very tight framing, excluding the torch at the end of the arm, humanizes the statue by focusing on its face.

Concept

I draw my inspiration from collective memory: cinema, music, art, video games... often with a touch of nostalgia for my childhood in the 80's. I see myself as a craftsman, moving from one technique to another (stencil, collage, acrylic, 3D printing...) to create a "beautiful work".
The creative process is always pretty much the same: an idea, iconographic research, a trip to the Mac to adjust compositions and colors, then the realization of the work using the techniques best suited to the rendering imagined. The result is colorful works, packed with details, a mix of pop art and street art, with a touch of surrealism and derision. Intuitive or thoughtful gestures, bright colors or black and white, nostalgic or modern, my approach is always focused on a single goal: aesthetics.

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
