Back to the 80's with a video game character that has marked several generations: Mario! Here, he is represented in his "pixel" version, his first version. Here SeCaM evokes, with a touch of nostalgia, the years of his childhood. He has chosen vibrant and pop colors, complementary, which take us back to that era. Concept

I draw my inspiration from collective memory: cinema, music, art, video games... often with a touch of nostalgia for my childhood in the 80's. I see myself as a craftsman, moving from one technique to another (stencil, collage, acrylic, 3D printing...) to create a "beautiful work".
The creative process is always pretty much the same: an idea, iconographic research, a trip to the Mac to adjust compositions and colors, then the realization of the work using the techniques best suited to the rendering imagined. The result is colorful works, packed with details, a mix of pop art and street art, with a touch of surrealism and derision. Intuitive or thoughtful gestures, bright colors or black and white, nostalgic or modern, my approach is always focused on a single goal: aesthetics.
