"Inaccessible" is composed of pictorial elements from artist Patrick Gourgouillat's "Le troisième mois" and "Animaux" series. The artist uses two main motifs: the gargoyle in "Peur bleue" (Blue Fear) and the capuchin monkey in "Singe capucin et banane" (Capuchin Monkey and Banana). This work deals with frustrated ideals and the unattainable sacred, but in the context of an imaginary circus. In "Inaccessible", the grail is a banana and the monkey replaces the man. Technically, the paper is printed in black, cut out and pasted onto canvas. The glued motifs are then enhanced with black acrylic, as if to fix the intensity of the nuance. Hand-drawn elements in black, gold and orange are then added to the composition. The whole is covered with a matte varnish.
