    Description

This painting was created during the first creative crisis I experienced at the beginning of 2024. At that time, I was finishing a series of paintings with winter landscapes. By the way, I must admit that this is one of my worst series. Only 2-3 works looked decent. That winter was constantly dark and cold, and I couldn't work properly. Another negative factor was my desire to speed up my learning, which led me to compare my works with those of other artists. This worsened my condition even more, and at some point, I realized that I didn't want to paint. Then I took a break for a few weeks. But that didn't help either. It was at that moment that I tried painting abstractions.
This painting was done with acrylic paint on thick cardboard. Here, I depicted the pleasant warmth of summer and hope. In some parts of the painting, the bare canvas shows through. This space is for me and my future.

  • About this artist

    Concept

Everyone experiences ups and downs, and failure and success alternate. This is how the value of life is created. Karbouski creates abstract paintings only during creative crises. This way, he overcomes procrastination and returns to work more quickly. Creating abstract paintings is a form of art therapy for the artist. Here are the main principles Karbouski follows:
Speed - a painting should be created in one breath.
Feeling - a painting should absorb the artist's feeling and reflect it.
Simplicity - a painting depicts a simple subject or contains none at all. The mind must be completely free of thoughts.
Mood and Emotion - the artist portrays only positive thoughts. (Karbouski purposefully avoids negative feelings while painting, as he is overcoming a crisis).
Practice - to combine the pleasant with the useful, the artist pays special attention to color and composition.
Quantity - the artist strives to create the maximum number of works in the shortest period of time. Only some of them will be published on this site.
