The plot of this picture is known all over the world - three wise men carry gifts to worship the baby Jesus. The sages who lived somewhere in the East saw a huge bright star, understood that this was a sign, and set off on a long journey. The guiding star led them to Jerusalem, where they knelt and offered their holes to the baby Jesus. (*Visitation of the Wise Men is the name traditionally given to the subject in the Nativity of Jesus in art in which the three Magi, represented as kings, especially in the West, having found Jesus by following a star, lay before him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, and worship him).
The painting is made on canvas using acrylic paints. The deep blue color, sometimes turning into indigo, symbolizes the winter night. Silhouettes of camels and wanderers are highlighted using texture. The moon and stars illuminate the path of the sages, reflected in the gold of their jewelry.
