"I Dreamt of Kazimir Severinovich" was born from a surreal dream where the artist wandered through a stark, otherworldly space filled with Malevich’s forms: red squares floating in a white void, black crosses suspended mid-air, and shifting blocks of color. Inspired by this vision, the artist sought to capture the essence of that dream—a dialogue between the physical and the spiritual, the real and the abstract.
The goal is to provoke viewers into reflecting on the boundaries of perception and imagination. The bold, geometric forms and dynamic color contrasts are meant to echo Malevich’s quest for pure artistic expression, stripped of conventional representation.
Acrylic was chosen for its versatility and vividness, allowing for layering and texture that could mimic the fluidity of dreams. The composition draws on Suprematist principles but incorporates a personal interpretation, creating a bridge between the past and present, the known and the unknown.
