In the painting "Mask," there is an attempt to convey the fundamental duality of our existence through the visual representation of a symbolic mask. This artwork represents an immersion into the world of internal contradictions and constant struggle with oneself.
Every day, we wear different social masks that determine our interaction with the world. The message of the work is to challenge identity and the necessity of self-analysis.
One half of the mask is presented in warm tones, symbolizing the bright, open part of our personality that we are willing to show to the world. It represents our face that we present in society when we are confident and friendly. However, next to this part lies the other half of the mask in cold tones, concealing the dark and mysterious aspects of our "self" that we prefer to keep hidden from the eyes of others.
The color palette, consisting of reds, greens, and yellows, blends together to create a complex and multifaceted image, reflecting the complexity of our human nature. Red symbolizes passion, yellow represents light and joy, while green signifies growth and harmony.
Within each of us are hidden different sides of our personality, and it is only up to us to decide which image to wear today. "Mask" reminds us that true freedom lies in the ability to consciously choose how we want to present ourselves to the world today.
