What counts in this painting is the "in-between"; what happens between the sky and the water. I wanted to represent the life of the water's surface, its movements, its reflections of color. Technically, there's a lot of matter in the wave, it's textured while the rest of the painting is smooth. I wanted to capture the vivifying, impetuous essence of water in motion. I chose acrylic for its vibrant, expressive possibilities, blending the figurative with a semi-abstract that invites interpretation. The canvas is recycled. Nature, semi-abstract art, river, canyoning, blue sky, wave, black and blue
