"Poppies"; In this work, I used acrylic, Indian ink and gilding to capture the ephemeral beauty of poppies. Drawing inspiration from expressionism and minimalism, I sought to express pure emotions through the simplicity of form. Each brushstroke is a feeling. Gold; a warm, satiny, textured gold in the background, brings a warm, welcoming energy to any space, inviting contemplation. Gold is plain but textured, catching the light like a draped fabric, its reflections changing according to the origin of the light; whether it comes from the sun, daylight or artificial lighting.
