Description

"Inside the Blue"; Large square canvas, with a 3D frame. A slightly surreal marine. A version of the barrel, but with water in underwater view. The intention here is not to show something realistic; rather, the idea is to exploit the graphic side of movement, in contrast with the calm of the water below the waterline. Dark blue sky over transparent green/blue water. In between, a circular blue-and-white wave, highly textured in material. At the top, a cormorant silhouette crosses the wave, ready to land on the water. There's a gentle, enveloping freshness to this painting. A desire to surf on imaginary water.
