Using acrylic paint, he combines colors and forms inspired by fragments of images from everyday life with material contrasts, such as the blotting and thickness of the paint, blurring and differences in texture, and attempts to handle and combine the various materials.
The main visual for his solo exhibition "Looking Back, Flowers" held in Kyoto in 2022. It gives the impression of a mysterious landscape painting that weaves together various elements, yet has a unique cohesiveness when viewed from a distance. The location of the exhibition site, which is located next to a park, inspired the artist to draw a variety of plants, children, and the changing of the seasons.
The work is created with an awareness of the painting aspect as well, and was exhibited without a frame at his own solo exhibition.
I think you will enjoy the modern impression of this work even if you hang it on the wall as it is.
