    Description

In the captivating artwork entitled "The Gallery of Alexandre Moore Rockefeller in New York," the artist immerses us in the vibrant realm of a New York art gallery. Four striking silhouettes grace the scene, their allure capturing our attention as they stand before a compelling tableau. It is a spectacle that invokes both contemplation and movement.
At the heart of the composition lies a central silhouette, a woman lying on her stomach, depicted with remarkable purity of form. Painted in metallic shades of midnight blue, she embodies both the delicacy and resilience of human expression. The minimalist contours that define her create an ethereal atmosphere, inviting viewers to lose themselves in the depths of their imagination.
The three silhouettes positioned in front of the artwork add a subtle dynamism to the piece. Their presence imbues the space with a sense of motion, preventing the composition from appearing static. Executed in a minimalist style, these figures forge a profound connection with the viewer, allowing them to engage and immerse themselves in the artwork.
The bold use of fluorescent colors for the hair of the four silhouettes nods to the realm of pop art, infusing the piece with vibrancy and originality. The vivid hues of green, orange, and pink create a striking contrast against the darker tones of the main painting, adding an additional layer of depth to the artwork.
By incorporating New York into the title of the painting, the artist, Alexandre Moore Rockefeller, pays homage to his origins. The city that never sleeps serves as a vibrant backdrop, celebrating artistic diversity and freedom. It is a resounding tribute to a metropolis where art thrives in all its forms.
"The Gallery of Alexandre Moore Rockefeller in New York" transcends mere artistic representation. It offers a captivating voyage into the realm of creativity and human expression, an irresistible call for discerning collectors to acquire this unique piece that embodies audacity and artistic innovation.

  • About this artist

    Concept

Moore Rockefeller's aesthetic revolves around achieving pure forms against a monochromatic background. The interplay of light reflecting off metallic colors creates both a sense of space and the silhouette.
By utilizing paint and iridescent colors, he transforms the human body, drawing inspiration from collage and sculpture. In his work, drawing and color are inseparable. Every line, curve, and flat color contributes to the creation of a form, which is further enhanced by the interaction and combination of colors. His palette, comprised of metallic colors, evolves in various ways, generating strength and energy, ultimately becoming his signature style.
"My intention is not to represent an idealized and stereotyped body, as I acknowledge the diversity of bodies. I am solely interested in the manifestations of life and their forms, which I transcend through the use of body elements, sculpted silhouettes, and abstract nudity. The brushstrokes become the architecture of the body. The abstract forms projected onto the bodies of my subjects possess a pop dimension, like erotic icons rooted in the 2000s. They serve as odes to femininity, to the autonomous, authentic, and liberated woman.
I work instinctively, guided by emotions and vibrations, like a fusion with life itself. Each line corresponds to an idea. The body, with its plasticity and sensuality, seems to occupy the entire canvas. The proportions vary depending on the canvas size, with the construction unfolding organically. I shape the human body with a knife and bursts of color, simulating the metamorphosis into bursts of life. From this energy, a sensation is born in the moment. The graphics, the intensity of each brushstroke, and the materials harmonize and articulate into a unique abstract figure. Through this process, I aspire to achieve an aesthetic transposition of my reality." A.M. Rockefeller (February 2014).
