Artists create pictures in different ways. Someone sits down in front of white canvas without any idea and starts to paint, and a character is born out of the spots and lines. Someone chooses an inspirational photo and draws on it.
An idea is born in my head and I mentally select materials, colors and draw a picture.
And only then I look for references if needed, draw a composition and start to implement my idea on canvas.
