In Hushang Omidizadeh’s paintings, the focus is ultimately on the invisible, the essence of humanity:
not the surroundings, not the abstraction of reality, but reality itself!
To achieve this, he reduces color and medium.
In the series „SURFACE“ the artist forgoes brushes and instead paints his models with color, which then leaves its colored traces on the canvas by being pressed onto it.
These are imprints of their own bodies, the unadorned truth of their identity.
