Material: Canvas/acrylic paint, modeling paste, gel medium, paper clay ・ Technique: A mixture of modeling paste and acrylic paint is poured into a thread-like shape from a self-made cornet mold, and then layered to create the animal shape ・ Concept: We have two layers of emotions: the surface layer, which we show, and the deep layer, which we don't show. Concept: People have a surface layer of emotions that they show and a deeper layer of emotions that they do not show, and they control their emotions while creating their own forms. I see them as layers, and create works based on the concept of "human emotions. He believes that there is a "beauty" in human life, such as strength to survive in society and kindness to care for others, in the mindset of what people show and what they do not show, such as the appearance they show and the "as is" appearance they are expected to show by others. In order to express this, he depicts the gap between the surface layer of emotions that people show and the depth layer of emotions that they do not show by placing smiles (pictographs) on the silhouettes of animals that live honestly with their true feelings, in contrast to people. Through this work, I hope the viewer will realize the importance of recognizing the beauty of human life and the unconscious prejudice of judging people only by their surface level. The work is made using a cornet mold to create a form that looks like a tangle of thin thread-like lines of various colors, expressing the complexity of emotions. The pattern on the background expresses the way people mend their outer layers.
