The work seems somewhat labyrinthine, with lines tracing a melody and giving it a surface. This work was painted with the aim of creating a new expression of abstract works. At first, I used only green mixed with blue and yellow, but later I added a red surface because I felt the impression was not strong enough with only green. However, the red surface gave the impression of being too strong for the pale green areas, so I waited until the paint had completely dried before applying blue paint over it to express an austere surface. However, this is a new frontier for Yoshida Seshichi, who had been aiming for beautiful abstract works.
