First, the moon and swirling clouds were painted with acrylic paint, then the background was painted colorfully, allowed to dry, and then a thick layer of black paint was applied and scraped off with the tip of a glass pen. By repeatedly layering different colors of paint, I added thickness to the painting. The moon trying to hide in the clouds expresses the idea that important things are unexpectedly invisible to the eye. I had not used the "shaving" technique since I was a child, and I was not sure if I could express the light with this technique, but I feel that I was able to express the delicate light of the moon by "shaving.
