✔ Olga de Weck creates her paintings with her emotions of the day - the day spent as an Attorney at Law at the Paris Bar. She expresses herself on different sizes: from 20x20 cm to 100x100 cm.
✔ This painting is the first one of the FIVE series. I need blue, blue is my colour of life, breathing, inspiration, hope and holidays! Winter is coming. The winter of your feelings, you are at half awake at hal sleeping, sometimes you think that you don't like anything and you reject everyone. Just find a piece of your blue sky and draw the necessary strength from this natural beauty to find again the joy of your life. Take a look at the real treasures that are hidden nearby, at your reach, can't you see them? Raise your head and enjoy every single minute of your life with your family, your friends, your loved ones. Time flies away quickly and it's not recoverable. Tick tock, tick tock. Enjoy your today, not tomorrow !
✔ After preparing the background of this canvas (gesso, stones collected on Ile Sainte-Margarite, the famous island which served as a prison for the famous man in the iron mask...), I used this light blue colour as a stage for the dance of feelings. This blue is just hypnotizing and is really a symbol of the south of France for me and particularly of the Cannes region. Then I incorporated stones and dry pasta to add some relief to these emotions. White, black and dark blue accentuate this lovely light blue they just play a second role, the main star is this blue !
✔ Indeed, the beauty of these captivating islands is unique and the colour palette to reflect this beauty on canvas or any other support is endless!
✔ The artist experiments a lot while painting when she take an empty canvas she doesn't know what she is going to paint it's a total improvisation. What she knows is just a combination of colours she would like to use to get her feelings and emotions of the day on the empty canvas.
✔ The canvas is attached to a wooden frame, two coats of varnish are applied. The shipping is careful and personalized.
✔ The videos of all her paintings are available on her YouTube Channel, Attorney by Day, Artist by Night, folder "My abstract Paintings".
