The way to my school

Concept

GAKU IGARASHI is based in Tokyo, Japan, and has exhibited his work in solo and joint shows in Thailand, Indonesia, the U.S., and other countries. He has also painted wall art in cafes, restaurants, kindergartens, and hospitals.
He is currently active as an artist, and was originally a nursery school teacher in Sydney, Australia.
Many of his works have a childlike innocence that brings a smile to everyone's face and makes them feel relaxed.
He says that he still has a lot to learn from and be inspired by children, both as a childcare worker and now as an artist.

His background as a nursery school teacher and his upbringing in Sydney have greatly influenced his work.
This influence can be seen in his character "ELF" ,
The influence of this is clearly shown in the facial expressions and emotions of his characters "ELF" and "HAPPY PEOPLE".

His drawings started as drawings for his students and warm message cards to his friends. He is very happy that his paintings, which he drew to make his favorite people smile and feel happy, are now being seen by many people in Japan and abroad.
