Description

Oishi-Rinzan," the northernmost point of Okinawa.
The limestone rocks were formed in the ocean 250 million years ago, and have appeared on the surface of the earth due to crustal movement.
The strange landscape is a forest of oddly-shaped rocks that have been eroded by wind, rain, and other factors over a long period of time to form sharp points.
It is said to be the first sacred site created by Amamikyo, the goddess of the Ryukyu Islands.
The towering tower-shaped "Goku Iwa" was like an entrance to another world.

Though we cannot see them, we are connected to them.
It is precisely because we cannot see them that we love them.
I have been creating works on Japanese themes such as "all things in the universe," "flowers, birds, wind, and the moon," "the five elements of yin-yang," and "the 24 solar terms.
I hope to create a connection in this painting as well.

Concept

About 10 years ago, I published a book describing my experiences visiting the most famous shrine in Japan, Ise Jingu, and 125 related shrines. I also became interested in ancient Japanese mythology in which the deities of these shrines appear, and have now visited over 200 shrines. Through this experience, I have come to embrace the ancient Japanese concept that all things in the forest are inhabited by gods.

I also draw inspiration from the primitive shapes of Jomon pottery, the rich design of the Rimpa school, and the flat landscapes depicted in the ukiyoe prints of the Edo period.

I love fashion and want to use beautiful patterns and colors in my work. I want to fill the world with love through layers of beautiful colors and express the fact that we are not alone.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
