When I was looking at sunflowers, I thought they looked like the sun.
I painted "The sun like a sunflower.
There are many sad and unreasonable things in this world.
But the sun shines on everyone equally.
And sunflowers always look toward the sun.

Lame and gold are used in the sunflowers and in the sky.
By changing the way it looks depending on the season, weather and time.
I hope you will discover something new every day.

Though we cannot see them, we are connected.
It is precisely because we cannot see them that we love them.
I create my works with Japanese themes such as "all things in the universe," "flowers, birds, wind, and the moon," "the five elements of yin-yang," and "the 24 solar terms.
I hope to connect with them in this painting.

Concept

About 10 years ago, I published a book describing my experiences visiting the most famous shrine in Japan, Ise Jingu, and 125 related shrines. I also became interested in ancient Japanese mythology in which the deities of these shrines appear, and have now visited over 200 shrines. Through this experience, I have come to embrace the ancient Japanese concept that all things in the forest are inhabited by gods.

I also draw inspiration from the primitive shapes of Jomon pottery, the rich design of the Rimpa school, and the flat landscapes depicted in the ukiyoe prints of the Edo period.

I love fashion and want to use beautiful patterns and colors in my work. I want to fill the world with love through layers of beautiful colors and express the fact that we are not alone.

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
