The Merging Skies.
When you look up at the sky, you see a mixture of summer clouds and autumn clouds.
The sky, the clouds, the earth, and even you blend together.
The 24th day of the 24th lunar month: "Summer heat wave
The 72nd solar term: Tenchi hajimajimashimusamushi, from around Aug. 28 to Sept. 1 each year.
I painted autumn clouds, summer clouds, and onyanma.
I also incorporated the image of ears of rice in the next 72nd season, Jasunoto (Kokumotsu i.e., Minoru).
Golden ears of rice are rustling.
Though we cannot see them, we are connected to them.
It is precisely because we cannot see them that we are attached to them.
I have been creating works based on Japanese themes such as "all things in the universe," "flowers, birds, wind, and the moon," "the five elements of yin-yang," and "the 24 solar terms.
I hope to connect with them in this painting.
