In 2021, I began a series of pools called "Pool with...", directly inspired by David Hockney's pools. David Hockney's swimming pools of the 60s and 70s embodied hedonism and a happy lifestyle, but today they seem to have a different meaning from David Hockney's swimming pools because of the times we live in and the IPCC reports. Even if they still embody a certain hedonism, they convey an image of selfishness, in a way symbolizing access to water, and above all the lack of access to water. This work, "Swimming pool with flying car", is part of this series. This carcass could be a "Tesla" or some other flamboyant idea that will normalize tomorrow's world. My pools are symbols of our human behavior, reflections of imaginary pools in unlikely places.
