CAPETTA
There are people who cannot see their lives without commanding others. It is one thing to command out of necessity, because your duties dictate it, it is another when commanding gives you pleasure, when you cannot live peacefully without building others, without commanding and disposing of them.
Commanding is stealing the other's right to choose. When the inclination to command comes from pride and power, it becomes a form of violence. By commanding others, the insecure person asserts himself. Usually this person’s command goes hand in hand with the humiliation of others.
A PART OF DIFFERENZE & SOMIGLIANZE (DIFFERENCES AND SIMILARITIES) SERIES
A series of 10 works reflecting some of our states throughout life. They may accompany us individually or in groups, they may come and go, some we may not have experienced and never will.
We may experience similar states to our family and friends and this is what makes us similar and brings us closer together. Or we may have a very different set of qualities and be in different states - this creates the individuality of each person.
