"A dangerous beauty, poisonous and betraying...There is no chance..."
The scorpion is a dangerous and beautiful animal , carries a duality of meanings - it is a symbol of danger and fear, but also protection from enemies - it is considered one of the most respected animals in nature. In ancient Egypt the scorpion was associated with the world of the dead, it was a sign of the goddess Selket, the patroness of dead souls, the animal was often depicted at the entrance to the tombs as a sacred, protective talisman. In Tibet, the scorpion was considered a symbol of protection from enemies and evil. In eastern countries the scorpion is considered a symbol of marital fidelity, long married life and eternal love, wisdom and justice. In Africa, it was believed that the scorpion itself allocates funds against its poison, so its symbolism was of a dual nature - it was a symbol of both healing and killing, warriors worshiped it, the scorpion was considered a judge who could kill or heal at the same time, but healing must be earned. The meaning of the scorpion can also manifest itself as a symbol of self-sacrifice and nobility, passion and control, protection and brave death, justice and perseverance.
