I created this triptych to explore the intimate and emotional melodies that define life’s most significant moments. Comprising three vibrant red paintings, each measuring 50 x 65 cm, the series centers on the timeless symbolism of a white vinyl record. Minimalist white lines and bold red backgrounds create a harmony between simplicity and depth.
Each painting carries its own phrase: “The Song of Your Soul,” “The Song of Your First Kiss,” and “The Song of Your First Sex.” These are not just words but lyrical inscriptions that evoke deeply personal memories. Together, they form a set of three works of art that intertwine philosophy, sensuality, and nostalgia. The minimalist, abstract compositions are inspired by retro and vintage styles, with striking elements of pop art, where music and its emotional resonance take center stage.
This triptych is an example of conceptual art, blending elements of pop culture, text-based art, and abstraction. “The Songs of You” celebrates music as a metaphor for life’s deepest connections. It invites viewers to reflect on their own memories and emotions. It’s a tribute to love, passion, and the eternal melodies that shape our souls, crafted for those who appreciate minimalism, conceptual art, and the timeless allure of vintage and pop art.
