The theme of the "character" series is visualization. Concepts such as emotions, sounds, and smells are turned into characters. The characterized beings are replaced by self-portraits of the present and future. The artist's characteristic "endless line drawings" depict "invisible, but immediate and important things," such as emotions and sounds. I feel that the invisible fields are often hard to notice, but play a very important role in our surroundings. It is interesting to note that when we express the invisible in the visible form of art, we can feel a certain sympathy and nostalgia, even though they do not actually exist as a form. And they are always variable and never the same. I would be happy if the invisible things, which I have expressed with abstract line drawings in the past, are made more familiar to the viewer this time by taking the form of characters.
