In my artwork I want to talk to the viewer about the subject of age. As long as our parents are alive, we are protected. From loneliness, from death, from old age, we remain children. As soon as our parents pass away into eternity, that invisible barrier separating us from death collapses. We get one step closer to the abyss, we move on to the next stage.
The work is made in Mixed Media technique on the basis of drawing on the tablet, digital printing, and hand painting. The matte black finish adds depth to the reflection. Voluminous areas of acrylic paint emphasize the gap between the world of the living and the world of the departed in memory.
The full size of the canvas is 69x89cm, allowing you to frame the work on a standard size 60x90cm stretcher frame
