Sometimes an unusual mockup gives you an idea for a new painting. In this case, it turned out that way. I remembered my grandmother's box with her simple "jewels" - every winter she used to collect eggs in it, so that in spring, by Easter, when the chickens were laying poorly, she could please her large family with such unpretentious country treasures. The box was solemnly brought into the biggest, completely unheated room, decorated with numerous embroideries, and my grandmother was an extraordinary craftswoman and wizard!
I remember the box vividly, too. From under an old Soviet parcel, signed "Alexander, Tiksi town" - such boxes were never thrown away. A parcel from the son...
