This is a partial homage to David Hockney's art. In this painting, I explored the interplay of realism and symbolism through the figurative use of acrylic and black paint. The central figure, clad in black with leather gloves and a pensive expression, stands out starkly against the serene, verdant landscape behind her. I aimed to capture the multifaceted nature of solitude and contemplation, juxtaposing the quiet inner world against the expansive, lively background. This piece invites viewers into a narrative of introspection and the nuanced balance between presence and absence in human experience.
For texture, a paste with glass particles was applied and polished, adding depth and dimension to the composition. Dutch acrylic paints from Amsterdam and Italian canvas from tm Unico were used to ensure the highest quality. The finish is a protective varnish, and the ends are carefully painted to maintain a cohesive look. As part of the "Life in Avatar" series, it is created on and shipped on a pre-stretched canvas on a sturdy wooden frame. The painting is meticulously packed in a cardboard box with bubble wrap to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. The artwork is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity, attesting to its originality.
