    ◆About the materials
    Acrylic on canvas

    About the work
(When Mizuhodori paints, he starts without deciding on anything specific. I try to stop thinking and savor the sensation of the moment when I paint. After the painting is completed, I try to put what I feel from the painting in writing as an aspect of the work.)

These beings are watching you from somewhere.
They are brightly colored and shine with their own colors.

In fact, they are not clearly separate entities, but rather loosely fused or slightly separated, with a fluctuating connection.
Even if they are not consciously aware of it, they are connected in the realm of the unconscious.

Even living things with bodies are born and die, eat and be eaten, evolve and degenerate, grow and age, change shape and form, and somewhere along the way, merge and separate from something else.

What you feel from this picture is different for each person at different times, but at least it gives something positive to the viewer.
Some people feel courageous, some feel energized, and some feel nostalgic.

    ◆About the technique
While I was painting, it occurred to me that I wanted to use the beauty of the layers of transparent acrylic paint.
I especially like the eyes and the circles.
I think it looks like the color of layered colored cellophane.

  • About this artist

    Concept

It depicts strange and cute creatures and beings.

The artist himself does not know where they come from when they appear in his paintings (sometimes clay sculptures), but he has not been able to help drawing them since he was a child.

If he had to put it in words, he would say that he draws them because he wants to bring the creatures in his mind out of his mind and move his body.

Furthermore, from around 2020, I began to feel that I might be making those who exist in both physical and non-physical dimensions appear through a projector or filter that I call myself.

When I paint, I try not to use my thoughts, but only to savor the moment of painting.
It seems that drawing in this way is probably the lightest way for them to emerge.
And above all, I think it is best for me not to think about anything, because my mind is so full and comfortable that it makes me smile.

Another element that makes up who I am is "painting" and another element is "nature and the creatures of the earth.
I love the nature of the earth, and I feel that I am able to maintain myself by feeling and becoming familiar with it through my five senses on a daily basis.

For some reason, she has been strongly attracted to nature and its creatures since she was a child, and her desire to observe nature and contribute to the earth has led her to become involved in wildlife research.

The creatures he has observed and the earth he has felt through his studies may be unconsciously reflected in his artwork and creative activities.

I do not adhere to any particular method, but rather "enjoy the present moment. Live comfortably and happily, and you will be rich and prosper. I am in the middle of my life.
Painting is one of the ways to do that, but it is essential to my life.
