This painting takes part of my new collection “ENOUGH!”, which I started during quarantine. The main subject of “ENOUGH!” is women in their everyday life, problems in the society, their desires, their strengths and weaknesses... as well as the overconsumption and nowadays fashion traps.
I show their thoughts through souls of women. This is like a selfie, which opens their world to us. This allows us to embody the character.
I tried to present this collection with an extreme tonality and female protest...but with a bit of humor and a positive message.
On this painting, the woman just screams "ENOUGH !" by writing following messages to her lover... The small disputes in relationships where no one wants to give up the argument... Then we see life in the sun color. I used the text from the Serge Gainsbourg’s song “Je t’aime, …moi non plus” (I love you, neither do I). This painting belongs to my collection "ENOUGH !".
This work was made on cardboard because it is a study carried out before I embarked on the development of my paintings. Acrylic fits well, in my opinion, with the style that was used in this collection of works, namely pop-art. The works are sold with presentation frames in wood and plexiglass.
