I was chopping wood and working in the fields, living in harmony with nature, when nature gave me a miraculous gift of beautiful ice prints. I was so moved by the beauty of the ice prints that I wanted to share them with as many people as possible, and as I was asking people about them, I was given the opportunity to exhibit them in Tokyo, Paris, and Florence. I have understood that the world is in need of great love, that the time has come for mankind to realize this great love, and that I have been given the role of continuing to paint for the rest of my life. The ice patterns created in a forest of giant trees deep in the mountains of Hokkaido's Usu Geopark, the northernmost part of Japan, where there are no houses, are as beautiful as a miracle.
