Description

Peony is a symbol of love, wealth and honor. In Western culture, peonies serve as a symbol of good luck, happiness, and a happy marriage.
Peony is my favorite flower. I admire its shape and color, its tenderness and strength.
In this picture you can see another source of my inspiration - this is Japanese art, with its golden paintings.
I used gold sheets, rich texture and glaze varnish to achieve the depth of golden color.

Acrylic, mixed media on linen canvas.

NB! To ship the canvas I remove it from the bars and ship it in the tube. When received you just have to take it to your local framers to get it stretched on the bars again.

Concept

My name is Anna Silabrama. I was born in Riga, Latvia in the artist's family.
For me, art is an urgent need, it helps me to empathize with the world. It accompanies me throughout life, from early childhood. In Art I see a way to express myself, or rather, to find myself through painting. I am more close to the language of abstract art. Abstract artist perceives the world in a special way, he doesn't copy it, but enters into a dialogue with it.
In my floral paintings I do not set a goal to copy nature, it is important for me to divulge the mood and the fine organization of the plant. I create paintings, make copies for orders and decorative wall-painting, I also teach others to draw by leading private lessons.
Having received a classical education I have extensive experience working with different techniques such as oil and acrylic colors, watercolors, pastel, charcoal etc.
After graduating with a Master's degree from the Latvian Academy of Fine Arts in 2007, I made many solo shows and participated in numerous group exhibitions.

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
