    Description

The painting shows five colored spheres, which are the same as the colors of the Olympic five rings. Black represents Africa, green represents Europe, blue represents Oceania, red represents America, and yellow represents Asia.
The theme is peace, which is the spirit of the Olympics. A golden sun is depicted in the center. Maru, the round world fairy, is spreading her arms wide to send the sun's rays to all the spheres, wishing for a bright future and hope for all the people on the earth. In other words, this painting depicts a wish for peace, hope, and a bright future for all people on the earth. The strange creatures and Maru, who live on the imaginary planet Maru, far away from the galaxy, are worried about the many people who have lost their lives in recent years due to infectious diseases, natural disasters, and wars, and they always hope that people on the earth can live in peace. This painting is made by pasting a sheet of drawing paper on a wooden panel and painting with acrylic paints. The entire painting is coated with Crystal Varnish, which gives it a glossy surface.

    Concept

Ann lives in a house surrounded by fields and overlooking Mount Akagi. When she was a child, she often painted figures with drawing paper and watercolors. At the age of 7, she was influenced by "Galaxy Express 999," and at 12 by Kenji Miyazawa's novels, and began to draw imaginary worlds. At the age of 15, she tried her hand at various genres, including Western-style sewing, Japanese-style sewing, embroidery, knitting, and three-dimensional works. During this period, she suffered from depression and panic disorder and could not paint for a long time, but she came back to painting again and began to paint the world of Maru, an imaginary planet far away from the galaxy, and the strange creatures that live there. Now he mainly combines minimal art and current affairs in his works. Using acrylic paints and pastels, she began painting wave-like and space-like worlds and planet-like spheres within them, subtly changing the size of the circles. Her world expanded further, and she began to call the space-like world the "circle world," and to draw the strange creatures that live there. The creatures that live in the world of circles are inspired by various current issues on the earth. Currently, she draws the world of circles and the creatures of the world of circles by pasting bandages on wooden panels to heal people's emotional wounds, and she also creates goods using the creatures of the world of circles as motifs.
