Hot batik is one of the batik varieties. The pattern is created using molten wax or other similar substances. Having painted the fabric and removed the wax, we get a white or multi-colored pattern on a colored background.
Cold and hot batik are based on the use of reserving compounds that limit the spread of paint on the canvas.
In hot batik, a heated reserve compound is used to apply a contour, and separate areas of the fabric are coated with it to protect them from spreading paint. Due to the fact that the contour lines are not necessary here, soft tone transitions are possible in the drawing.
