The subjects for my ethno works are often inspired by memories and childhood impressions. Then I will remember the high shutters in my grandmother's house, then I will hear the aroma of cardamom and remember that it smelled like that before the holidays, when they cooked a lot of sweets, then a cute photo of an elderly couple in Instagram will remind me of my grandparents. Recently, children were asked to tell them a story or a bedtime story before going to bed. And then I remembered how on summer evenings, lying in my bed, turning to the wall, I looked at the patterns on the carpet for grandmother's fairy tales. Imagining that patterns are roads and villages, and flowers and swirls are people, and so on... and so the batyr went to the other side of the world on his rhinoceros to defeat the villain... of course, my childhood imagination flew up and out instantly. Some kind of hero was especially heroic, he did not ride a horse, but immediately on a rhinoceros, as I drew myself in rhino patterns there, I do not remember, but I know for sure that the route was laid on the carpet as on Google maps, so I decided to apply patterns from the carpet to the canvas. You will say: "this is another carpet ethno work"! And I will say that carpets, like us, are different, each with a unique pattern! You'll see if you just look closely.. Decorate your interior with the warm patterned beauty of oriental fairy tales!
