Concept

Lesya Karebina is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, laureate of the American Art Award 2021.
Works as acrylic in the genre of abstraction.
The main theme of her pictorial research is the analogy between the act of a Human's life and Abstraction as a form of manifestation of harmony.
Interesting compositions, bold colorful strokes, delicate glaze, subtle shades and contrasts - all this creates a unique pattern not only of a drawing, but also of fate.
Painting is capable of influencing a person. And his goal is to make this influence as useful as possible.

Color is the main driving force behind Karebina's creativity, and the palette is practically devoid of black pigment.
And this perfectly reflects her philosophy of life: to extract maximum joy from each day, focus on the pleasant and accept the negative as an indisputable fact of being.

Abstraction here plays the role of a wise teacher (or coach): a chaotic accumulation of colored spots, lines and shapes can push the viewer's soul to reveal, experience their feelings, mourn pain or express delight, which means it helps a person find harmony.

There are 2 main series in her work.
The series of works in 2020 is distinguished by the predominance of warm shades and purer colors: yellow, red, orange, as well as a less multi-layered interpretation of the canvas.
This was influenced by the pandemic that broke out all over the world, isolation: the thirst for freedom, joy, communication and happiness.

The series of paintings from 2021 can be summarized by the theme “The Path of the Soul”.
These paintings are uniform in size, technically more difficult and more interesting to view.
Woven from meanings and shades, which together have their own psychotherapeutic, healing effect.
It is impossible to remain silent about her special relationship with the world of dreams and premonitions.
For Lesya, the artistic process is akin to meditation: while drawing, she follows her intuition, trusting the flow.
