Multi-technique canvas, acrylic paint and structural mortar. Jody starts her canvas by working with a sponge and then the main subject is enhanced with a structural mortar that Jody makes from marble and limestone powder that she literally sculpts on the canvas and paints after drying.
Music is part of Jody's work, she always paints to music and even dances! The body is the expression of a feeling, the music also and allows a release which makes it possible to escape its spirit and to find its serenity.
Music has always inspired in Jody a feeling of escape to be carried away by the voluptuousness of music as a journey to another world, a journey to escape from an inappropriate reality and which provides a feeling of immense freedom to find oneself and refocus on oneself without external distraction. The strength and power of the mind to go beyond the limits of its physical constraints, a limitless imagination from which Jody draws his creativity.
Jody has slipped a cat. Cat bars and cuddle therapy will tell you that petting a cat is a moment of relaxation. And since she has a sense of humor, why wouldn't a cat be on the lookout for a mouse?
