Ink and ink drawing with a collage of graffiti as a base.
The paper of the collage is pasted with varnish, dried once, and then peeled off, and it is partially torn in some places. As a result, the density of the graffiti is uneven, which gives the work a sense of depth when seen from a distance, and the lines seem to float in the surroundings.
The original image of the work was a graffiti sticker in an alley, and the way it was forcibly painted over the layers of dirt and stickers that had been removed was wildly appealing to me. The layers of varnish in the work are inspired by the stains of age exposed to the outside air.
The motif painted in the center of the work represents the lens of a surveillance camera as an eyeball, representing the thrill of young people who indulge in graffiti without being seen and the society that monitors them.
