I continue to work on the theme of the memory of the city of Mariupol. The painting Fighters was created based on the Azovstal Yacht Club. In peacetime, this location could be seen as if you were in the best resorts in Italy. Lots of yachts with white sides bobbing on the waves near the pier.
Yachtsmen are people who fight the waves. But this struggle does not contain aggression, since sailors do not need to resist the waves, but to catch them, adjust and skillfully control the current and the wind.
Today, when in Ukraine there is a war with Russia, every person is a fighter. We are fighting for our lives and for the freedom of the country. The ability to quickly adapt to events, to find how to curb chaos - something that unites ordinary people who operate yachts and fighters at the front, where events change rapidly.
But the main thing is the person and his qualities, such as readiness to help and protect the values of life and freedom. This painting is like a glorification of the warrior spirit.
