In Japan, there is a custom of decorating helmets and armor on Children's Day to protect them from disease and misfortune, and to wish them to grow up big. This picture is based on this custom. This child warrior (small warrior) wears a balloon helmet and candy armor and is accompanied by his partner, a young white dragon. The balloon is light, soft and protective, but it is fragile and must be handled with care. The balloon may be filled with hope and joy. Candy and cotton candy are both delicious, but they melt quickly. Still, people need something sweet. We compare love and goodwill to something soft and sweet. I drew this picture with the hope that children all over the world will grow up happily for a long time, protected by such warm and kind people and feelings.
