Living with Fantasy" is the concept behind all of my works, expressing a world of fantasy where one can connect to the "essential peace and bliss" that always exists in a place free from the confines of time and social conventions. In this work, I placed a flower pot of wild tea flowers in a time-space whose details are unknown, and depicted the moment when the flowers open up in the darkness of night and everything returns to its freshness. The black and white division of the background expresses the contemporary Western values of minimalist art, which is stripped down to the bare minimum of ornamentation. The design of the bowls and curtains is based on the Edo pattern, which was popular among the common people during the Edo period (1603-1868). In those days, people planted their favorite plants in special pots and held nightly viewing parties to admire the flowers. The harmony of black and white with the Edo aesthetic sense, which was highly decorative yet focused on "chic" and simplicity, expresses the essential beauty that is loved by people across regions and eras. The work also depicts the expression of flowers and animals, which are beyond the reach of human hands, and the natural beauty of nature as it is, which overturns this and takes the viewer's heart.
