I was playing in a shallow river and fell down when I was running to the other side. When you fall into the river, you hear the sound of water and suddenly see a different scenery from before. Because the world changes so suddenly, my mind is also in a panic. Now that I am an adult, I miss the old days when I had such an experience. The more experience I gain, the less mistakes I make, and the more peaceful my daily life becomes. This work may be expressing the memory of playing in the river or the pool in the past. The impression may differ depending on the viewer. When I paint abstract paintings, I am sometimes able to capture a scene from the world without intending to. How a person judges a painting depends on his or her thoughts and experiences. If the artist were to describe this work in a nutshell, it would be a scene in which a person has fallen into a river. The sky is clear and the atmosphere of summer vacation is felt, and this picture reminds us of our youth. However, since it is an abstract painting, each person has his or her own way of feeling.
